Consultancy and Writing
I always enjoy working with projects on the ground. As I have worked across so many sectors - health, education, community development, social care - I like to use my skills to create connections across cultural and professional boundaries.
I am a big picture whole systems thinker - engaging people to co-create a collective vision for something new. However, a vision without action stays as a dream, so I also have a good toolbox for supporting organisations to ground vision into practical action.
My current work includes a project with Oxfordshire County Council to highlight Community Wealth building. Our 27 case studies were collected using a Public Narrative Framework, and our full report is also available on the Oxfordshire Inclusive Economy Website.
With my colleague Makena we are building an A to Z, describing the qualitative and relational aspects of community hub building.
I am an Associate of Clore Social Leadership, as a coach and facilitator within their Experienced and Emerging Leader Programmes.
Working with Nature Effect associates we are developing two gardens in Bullingdon Prison and an Inside Out project connecting prisoners and their families to nature.

Annie’s extensive experience in the community and voluntary sector provides her with exceptional insights into the challenges faced in this field. She is truly inspirational in her commitment to working strategically and collaboratively to develop systemic solutions - the most recent example being her work around Community Wealth Building in Oxfordshire.
Annie is always action-oriented and approaches projects with decisiveness, a focus on core priorities and a clarity of vision. This makes her skilled in supporting and coaching people to take steps forward to develop their organisations.

Testimonials
Annie has provided an excellent service to Healthwatch Oxfordshire. She has built a robust network of relationships for us with other third sector organisations in the county, and this has enabled her to generate a range of excellent projects. As a freelancer she has formed excellent and entirely appropriate relationships with the permanent staff team – judging when to engage alongside the in-house team, and when to step back with real skill.
